New Community feature: Ability to upload images

| ‎30-01-2013 04:16 PM

Hello Community Members!

you might have already noticed that there is a new feature added to our AdWords Community.

As of yestarday you are able to easily add images to your posts or change your avatar photo by uploading an image directly to the AdWords Community. All images will be served through a Content Delivery Network providing improved performance during image download for all the AdWords Community users. Here is how it works:

  • Changing your avatar

You can now easily use your best-looking photo that you store on your computer as your new avatar for the AdWords Community.

  1. Just click on your name below the current image
  2. On your profile page mouse-over the avatar to edit it
  3. Click the 'browse' button to add a new image from your computer
  4. Once done, click 'save'

  • Adding screenshots to your posts

You can also to add a screenshot or an image to your post. Please always remember to remove any private or sensitive information first when adding a screenshot. You can add a screenshot or image simply on the post editor by clicking on the small image icon:

  1. You can browse through your images stored on your computer
  2. You can adjust the size and placement of the image to manage how you want it to be displayed in your post

Hi Agata,

Once you upload a new image as your new Avatar, the image has to be approved.

Is there way to spead up this approval process for community members? I am still waiting for approval after almost a week :smileysad:

Why I don't have the "insert/edit image" icon on my editor? I have only "insert/edit link" and "insert a video"... :smileysad:

Me too, I lost this feature 2 weeks ago. Until then I used it a lot, you can look at my public library where I have over 300 print-screens used in posts.
