Hi All;

Without PR, Google  introduced, a few days ago, a major change in the Search Query Report, adding a "keyword column".

From now on, you could see which keyword matched your search query. (Also known as a search term)

Background:

The Search Query Report (SQR) shows the search queries that resulted in clicks. This has been mainly used for keywords performance analysis: Identifying what users were searching: add / pause keywords, as well as adding negative keywords. (Based on search Queries (SQ) that an advertiser does not want to trigger an ad).

What is new?

Now, Google includes a column with the keyword that matched the SQ. You can see, immediately, what keyword matched the SQ. (And its match type)

This is a long-awaited, and important feature, now added, to the powerful SQR report, used by any advertiser for campaign optimization.

How to use;

On campaign tab, go to keywords . Under keywords details, choose "All". In the "columns" drop-down menu, click on "customize columns". Under "metrics" select "attribute", and click on "keyword"

Google will, probably, blog on this new feature, soon...

Enjoy; I have "played" with it a little, and found some intriguing (or disturbing :smileysurprised:..) data on BMM compared to "phrase match".

-Moshe

It's worth to take note, that Google got agressive in their improvement iniatives, and it's a wonderful thing that whenever someone notices a new object to make us aware as Moshe did, so we can all celebrate...

Thank you!

Great!

Thank you Moshe for letting us know about such an attribute.

Its nice to hear that from now we could have more customized "Search Term Report". It'll surely help in better search term report management.

Thaks!
